thai

Went to an Art Market at Stanford University and saw these Thai art pieces, immediately fell in love, bought four of them, left a happy camper. The End.
MmmMm, I'm craving some curry.

hastAlameda, baby!

Last Sunday I went to the Alameda Antique Fair with my mother! I love coming here and just browsing every single booth, the only downside to it is that my mom likes to get there at 6:30 a.m. since shes an Chinese antique dealer...but its worth it even though I always get there looking like the biggest slob. This time I left the fair with five unique tops that were $5 each, a hobo bag I'm obsessed with, and a vintage French desk and matching dresser for my next place. I got a lot of new DIY ideas that I want to try out. I can't stop mentally furnishing my room in my new house, i'm too excited. But the highlight of my venture was seeing Aimee Song from Song of Style walk right past me. At first I was too shy to say hello and kept walking but I finally knocked some sense into myself and ran back to greet her! I'm glad I did.
Her blog is so inspiring, her style is amazing, and shes beautiful.
Can't wait till next months fair, Joe's coming with :)

detailed

Went with my moms friend to see some 19th century Chinese embroidered pieces worn by the high class women and men of the time. I never really noticed how much detail and work goes into the pieces. The stitching is so beautiful and extremely detailed. I always wonder how long it takes the artist to make their art. Ever since my mom started doing Chinese antiques my appreciation for art has increased drastically. It boggles my mind all the time but I'm so grateful to get the opportunity to learn about historical art.

No idea how much love I have for these three.
I love the two on the sides as if they were my sisters. <3

Browsing the event fliers that are posted on Haight...most of them 21+
Can't wait till I'm 21 then i'd be able to go to good clubs and see the talent that they deprive the under 21 group of. Woohoo.
